Lead Java, API and Microservices Developer - Remote

Lead Java, API and Microservices Developer - Permanent - Remote - £85-90k + Bonus (up to 30%)

 

A leading travel organisation is looking to hire a Technical Lead or Senior Developer with team management experience looking for a new challenge.

 

In this role you will be responsible for 55-60% coding and 40-45% leadership/team management. The team is spread across Europe and the role is to set structure, process, procedures and ensure the team have good guidelines for delivering code across the group. In this role you will get to be seen as a thought leader, practitioner and advocate of state-of-the-art API and Cloud engineering practices as well as a great people lead.

 

My client is in a position to take over sponsorship of those already in the UK or Europe.

 

You will be technically strong in back-end development using Java, be competent in all aspects of development lifecycle, design/architecture patterns, cloud technology and API's. As well as solid AWS cloud services experience. As well as a strong and still hands-on tech background, you will demonstrate team leadership/management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor and help the team grow their career.

 

Must have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
