Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) - Remote

£110-115K + Car Allowance + Bonus (40%) and benefits - IT - IT

A leading travel organisation is actively looking for a global Information Security Officer to joins it's team, there are currently on-going talks to re-label this position as Deputy CISO.

As a company there are some 50,000+ employees across Europe and transforming the security function and how security is seen across the business is now a priority.  This role is very much a business partnering role, whilst news risk management, monitoring and security frameworks are rolled out across the business.  You'll provide leadership, governance and risk-based approach to managing security across various business units.  The company has multiple business units which vary in relation to legislation and regulations, so the ability to understand complex environments is essential.  The client has all the necessary security infrastructure/tehnologies in place, so this is very much getting the business to adopt policies/frameworks, manage senior stakeholders (D & C suite level) and deliver visible and effective Information Security across the company.

You'll have an in-depth background of information security, ideally with relevant security accreditations (CISSP, CISM, CISA etc.), experience of leading and mentoring a team - current team is based across various countries in the EU, have a strong understanding of technologies, security tools and frameworks, with ideally some experience of working in a cloud (AWS) environment, you will have a real interest in what you do and be able to provide guidance on security strategies, able to advise on latest security threats and bring new ideas to the table, solid experience of technology standards and control frameworks is essential (CIS, NIST, PCI, ITIL, OWASP or COBIT etc.)

Ideally, the candidate will be able to demonstrate experience within the travel sector, but not essential as the ability to learn and develop on the job is essential.
